The Mayport Princess offers daily offshore deep sea bottom fishing charters for individuals, small groups, and private charters. Individuals and small group reservations may be made one month prior to departure. Private charters may be booked one year in advance. Daily open boat trips leave the dock at 7:00 a.m. and return promptly at 4:00 p.m. Private charters may be scheduled for full, half, or three quarter day trips, or an extended 12 hour day.
Remember to book early, especially for weekends and holidays. The Mayport Princess fishes seven days a week, weather permitting, year 'round. We are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
The Mayport Princess is a 65 foot Deep Sea Fishing Vessel, constructed in 1998 by Bonner Yachts. Her beam is 19 feet. She is powered by brand new 3406E Caterpillar engines, allowing for a cruising speed of 20 knots, with more fishing time and the opportunity to run 30 to 40 miles off-shore during a regular nine hour open boat fishing trip. The Mayport Princess is a United States Coast Guard inspected vessel and is equipped with the latest electronic equipment, including Loran, GPS, and Radar. For your comfort, there is an air conditioned cabin, color TV, and stereo on board. Spotless restroom facilities for both men and woman are provided.
Captain George Strate has fished off shore of Mayport for thirty-five plus years. As a former Captain of the Miss Mayport, he has logged plenty of sea time to satisfy even the most experienced angler. However, we encourage all levels of experience from novice to expert to enjoy a family day of fun aboard the Mayport Princess with Captain George. No experience is needed, just a good attitude and a little luck.

Summer fishing has never been better. Despite the closure of the red snapper fishery, ALL all other bottom species are open for catching and harvesting during the summer months. We have seen exceptional catches of beeliners (vermilion snapper), mangrove snappers, lane snappers, along with amberjack, triggerfish, grouper, cobia and many other species.
